Unity Headquarters has just announced their new Social Justice Ministry. You can check out all the information @ UnitySocialJustice.org. The goal and hope of this ministry is to inspire everyone to engage in acts of social justice, large or small. This will add more love to the collective consciousness, and create a kinder and more just world. Broadcasts will occur on the fourth Sunday of the month at 3:00 p.m. and cover topics such as economic and educational injustice, the school to prison pipeline, earth justice, voting justice, and more. The first Sunday of the month will be an interview or conversation with someone doing social justice work.
Here at Unity Spiritual Center of TC, we are looking into starting our own Social Justice Committee. A meeting is being planned to discuss ideas and gather congregational input on how a Social Justice Committee can best serve our community. Congregant, Carol Anderson, is spearheading this effort and will be there to facilitate discussion and answer any questions.
The meeting which was planned for Sunday, March 29th, needed to be cancelled. A new date will be announced as soon as it is set.
